Frank Sedgman Cup 2024
Bayside Regional Tennis Association and Moorabbin & Districts Junior Tennis Association are calling for nominations to be considered for selection in the 2024 Frank Sedgman Cup.
The Frank Sedgman Cup is a prestigious team event that showcases emerging junior talent and provides players with the opportunity to represent their region in a team environment. The selection of athletes for each team will be made by a selection committee and based on multiple factors.
Match results from all regional team events will be transferred to UTR.
The Frank Sedgman Cup is a metropolitan and regional team event for 11 & Under boys and girls from across Victoria. The competition is a round robin format with ties consisting of two boys’ singles, two girls’ singles and two mixed doubles rubbers.
The event will be held the weekend of 13-14 July, 2024 at the new Monash Tennis Centre. Tennis in Monash | Shape Monash
The event is open for players aged 11 and Under as at 31st July, 2024. Travel arrangements are the responsibility of the player and their families. The Association will provide uniforms for team members.
Depending on the number of nominations a decision will be made on whether a combined team is entered or two separate teams representing each Association. Selection trials will be held prior to the Term 2/3 school holidays if required.
Nominations must be received by Thursday 6 June, 2024 and the teams will be announced shortly after (depending on whether trials are required). Contact your coach or club if you want to apply.
