Black Rock Tennis Club Stalwart Vince Vaughan Passes Away

It is with sad news that we have been informed of the passing of Vince Vaughan (aged 66 years).

Vince has been a long term player and committee member of the Black Rock Tennis & Bowling Club in the Bayside competition, and previous to that in the (Southern Districts and Caulfield-Carrum comps). Vince served the BRTA most recently as the Tuesday Night Convenor for over 15 years before he was struck down with Illness 18 months ago.

Many of you will have known Vince for pretty much being the face of his beloved Black Rock Tennis Club (recently renamed the Black Rock Sports Club) and for his well renowned Saturday afternoon BBQs.

Vince was awarded life membership of the club earlier this year as conveyed on our recent posting on the BRTA website.

Our condolences are with Rhonda, Jo, Nicole and Dan at this time.
